A reflection on the us techno scene today

A couple of months ago i asked my friend John Templeton to do a piece on the American techno scene today. He was instantly up for the challenge, and told me to give him some weeks so he could prepare interviews, investigate the scene further, and make a podcast. Now its all finished and wow, what a cool article! Check it out:

I went to a techno night at Harlot in San Francisco in 2015, with the typical Harlot crowd (plastic surgery girl, jock man, dapper boy, girls-night-out girl etc) and it was bangin. Totally psychedelic repetitive music. Everyone was way into it. That's the state of affairs here, people are down for the techno.

    Cool article.

Cool read and very informative. Not really into techno but definitely worth the read for everyone who who wants to learn. Thanks for the share.

I was surprised to read that European djs move back home within a year of moving to the US. I suppose their talents are called upon overseas and it's easier to cross countries like we cross state lines.

That must have been a sight. Have seen some cool parties promoted at Harlot but only ever been on mainstream nights. A mashup of that crowd w deep techno blows my mind!
