Although I do want to end up owning some mk5's in the future, this is just comical and stupid to waste this much money ON ONE of these

    Indeed!

How cool, never thought I'd see a Rega on a PDX, I guess the arm board kit is a one off?

Yes, it's a custom job. The Isonoe feet might be fitted on custom inserts too, unless Vestax and Technics used the same thread.

First decks I ever bought were Numark Pro-TT2s. Decent to learn on, but in general kind of sucked. One couldn't hold pitch and would wobble around cell phones.

Had a pair of these before my Techs. Horrible torque; about half of a 1200. Loose tonearms; you couldn't scratch on them or they would skip everywhere. All plastic body; better keep that bass down or you're in a world of feedback. It had a built in socket for an XLR lamp which while a good idea on paper consumed too much of the tables power making the platter speed fluctuate. About the only thing I liked was the pitch, +/-10% and held it like glue. I actually found them to hold their pitch better than Techs.

Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.
