Anyone dealt with ProAudioStar before?

I found a great price on an A&H Xone:42 at www.proaudiostar.com

They say they're an authorized dealer, but I'd like to get some background. I'll be checking with the Better Business Bureau, but wanted to hear from you all about them too, if you've got any info or have used them.

thats a BS price - its hundreds LESS than what a legit dealer would buy it from AMS (the US distributor for A&H)

I just verified it in audiolines.com price books.

Yeah it's really low which is why I'm bringing it up here-- keep in mind that DJDeals.com has had the Xone:42 listed for $699, and reportedly people get PSSL to pricematch them all the time. That might be worth trying here since these guys claim to be an authorized dealer. I figured I'd bring it up here in case anyone had experience with them.

I see a lot of skepticism in this thread.

ProaudioStar is 100% legit and they run a great business out of a big loft in Brooklyn packed floor to ceiling with gear. If you can email them with what you want or give them a call they will even go lower on their prices and the guy who runs it is great to work with. By far my favorite and first source for any DJ gear, and I have spent of $3000 in less than a year there and only wish I found it sooner.

If you go to their store you can cut shipping prices and will even give you better deals paying cash. 100% recommend. I will be picking up a Xone 4D from them as soon as I sell my QSC system.

Save yourself the time, call or send an email and buy from them, you won't regret it. Way better deals than anywhere else I have seen, their prices and service put Audiolines to shame.

Maybe it's a closeout on the silver model?

Could be, and they just have really good prices. I got a quote on a new 4D for $2000 even.

Same here.

I got a brand new Xone 4D off them for $2100 and they're legit. Ordered a few things off them in the past

I have purchased multiple items from Pro Audio Star, and will continue to do business with them. This is why:

1.) They ship the same day even for orders that I send in the late afternoon.
2.) The products I receive are are 100% brand new, factory-sealed.
3.) They answer my questions quickly, and provide revelvant reccomendations when I am shopping something out.
4.) They are are friendly and professional on the phone.
5.) They make it easy for you to buy from them because they actually want to sell you something! (in my expereience alot of other vendors have a take it or leave it attitude).

Not to take anything from Audiolines. I have never purchased from Audiolines, but I have been in contact with one of their reps on a few occasions and he was helpful and willing to work with me as well. I will be considering them as well for my next purchase.

While we're on the subject of vendors, I have a gripe- and perhaps someone can share some insight.

Many of the suppliers I have treid to do busienss with are not flexible and unwilling to make good deals. "Price Matching" is nonsesne to me. Why would I do busienss with a vendor that makes me go find the lowest price from his competitor, and provide him with that info just so he can give me the same price? If the vendor does not know what his competition is offering, then they're not doing their job.

Furthermore, if they only match advertised prices, then MAP price would be the best possible price in theory. It just doesn't make sense to me...
