Recording problems

Posted this earlier in the wrong section of the forum... So here we go again

Every time I want to record something I can hear a very irritating noise on the background... its a high bzzzzzz kinda tone... You can't hear it in normal house or electro but when I play minimal the noise is really killing my sets

I tried lot's of things to get rid of it like reconecting the hardware, using other cables, filtering it out, raising/lowering the volume, using different inputs, etc...

I normally use audacity but I've tried a number of softwares and nothing works

Is there anything I can do about this? It cant be my equipment because you can't hear anything wrong when I'm just spinning...

its probably your on board sound card. they are simply noisy. get yourself a better audio interface and use balanced cables.

if you are using your onboard sound card, keep your cable run to less than 10 feet

It's way shorter then 10ft... so I can conclude my laptop is just total rubbish

Do you know if there are any mp3 players that have good recording capabilities?
