What would be the next move?

So it's been about a month and a half since I got my Numark DJ2Go, I haved learned how to beat match both with the software and on my friend's CDJ's and RANE mixer and what not. I want to look into getting some new equipment when I get the money, but I don't know what would suit me best. I want to be mobile and have the ability to use software just because I kinda like the digital. I like the CDJ's too though and I don't have too much experience with MIDI mapping so I wouldn't know where to start on MIDI mapping a CDJ to VDJ or Traktor. Any suggestions on what would be best for me are more than welcome and greatly appreciated!!!!

I'd choose a midi controller for you based on what I just read. I really don't see the point in using software with CDJ's, especially how advanced the new pioneer decks are. You can see about getting like a pair of 900's or 850's and use a usb stick if you don't want to use CD's. I believe you can hook up your laptop to it and use from Rekordbox (Correct me if I'm wrong please). Other than that, I would suggest a midi controller like the S4, Pio DDJS/T (depending if you want traktor or serato) and I guess the Numark NS6 or the new one that just came out. The name escapes me. I have an NS6 and hook up my CDJ's to it but I find myself mixing of CDJ's more honestly. Up to you but if you want software, just save your money and go with a controller.

Yea I was looking at the S4, but the CDJ's just have a better feel, I dont know how to describe it but I like them more haha but I found the Stanton SCS 1m and 1d and they are pretty cool controllers, they're recommended for advanced djs but I think it's something I can grow on. Thanks for your help Complex.ity!

I recommend the VCI400 by vestax or the Denon DN-mc6000 they both have hardware mixer option so what you could do with those two midicontroller is play 2 channels with software! And use the other two channels with a CDJ... the only downside is no mixer effects on the two channels with the CDJ's unless you get Midi CDJ'S

These both look pretty cool and would be a great leap forward from a foot long bar haha have you had experience with either one?

Whatever you do, learn to beatmatch without looking at your laptop screen it helps out alot.

Oh yea that's not a problem, I don't wanna be a sync button DJ, a "cheater" or what ever you want to call it, by looking at the wave lengths and squares and rectangles. I've been using my friends CDJ's to learn to beat match without a laptop or anything.

I don't have experiance with eather one of them, but i am also on the marked for one of them. They are both really good! I would save if you have the money too spare get the VCI-4OO its the best one of the two most function's lots of mappings and you can also map them your self.

For example a good idea is too do with both of them is get 2 CDJ's i am thinking of gettind the Denon DN-S1200 with the VCI-400, Hook them up as normal CDJ and practise beatmaching. They are midi so you can later on gigs connect them As the controllers for deck 3&4 and lets say your computer goes down you can still play the set with your 2 CDJ.

Its really nice set-up i mean you can learn beat-matching and "the club way of djing" you have the flexebility too pay with software. You could do 2 channels digital with 2 channels analog or 4 channels digital. All good options!

Thanks for pointing that out cause I just realized me and my friend could share equipment and hook up his CDJ's to my controller and vise versa at gigs. Thanks a LOT for your help dude! And I was leaning towards the VCI-400 as well, well worth the money.
