    Question TTX signal dropping out

Ok, so for no reason one of my TTXusb has a cyclic signal dropout I have isolated the problem to the turntable itself. The TT is in "phono" mode, and it just drops the signal for most of one rotation then pics up for a short moment and drops back out again imediatly. What the heck is happening? Can it be fixed? I'm really confused by this PLEASE HELP.

P.s. I allready switched carts and cables.

    Thank you.

Actually, it's dropping out for almost two full rotations at +10% and +20% but it seems to be right at two rotations at +50% wtf?!

Same thing with lower volume on the "line" setting.

Did you try a different tonearm?

    Hmmmmmmm.

Dunno, but I am going to try to help you figure this out. I have the same decks, and I'd like to know what's up if this ever happens to mine. BTW, how old are yours?

Edit: Does this happen with regular vinyl?

yeah, no diferent with regular vinyl.

What's really weird is that if i just scratch a little without much of a real rotation it doesn't dropout, but even if i hold the platter still and rotate the record with my hand it drops... it actually sounds like an audio buffer getting filled up and droping out... so weird

I got my TTX new in winter 2010

*note I have the TT going directly into my mixer and have tried this on both mixer channels so i know it is the TT

I was also thinking that it could be a tonearm problem.

Try asking on the Skratchworx/DJworx forum. Those guys know a lot about the TTXs, and I'm sure that someone there would be able to help.

This might sound like a strange question, but if you turn the power off do you lose the phono output completely?
