What software do the "big name" laptop DJs use?

I know Paul van Dyk uses Ableton Live while performing and he started out back in the day on vinyl. He does a lot of neat stuff on it. Nothing crazy, but things like extending buildups and break downs, mixing acapellas, and playing chords over songs.

Very few big DJs use software, but there are some notable exceptions. Traktor Pro is the most popular without turntables or CDJs, and Serato Scratch Live is the most popular with turntables or CDJs.

Rubbish. Lots of big DJs use Traktor. I could run a massive list of techno DJs alone that use it.

Well, one of the DJ's I've met used Torq and he's a total scratch/turntablist DJ. We practiced on it once and I didn't find a problem with it.
