I still pronounce it Dead mow five

A shame that he can't be a bit down to earth or positive about things, but no one said successful people were ever happy

yeah, deadmau5 live is boring as shit. I saw the netflix movie of his live show, and saw his live show in real life.....bored to tears on both occassions. maybe he is pressing "more" buttons, but as an audience member i definitely cant tell at all. i cant fathom how someone in his position can be such an angry, whiny little shit. and hes not even THAT good, just got a lot of sheeple following his music

I'll give Dead Mao Five credit for making up a distinctive sound that everyone recognizes as "his", but asking people to actually differentiate between songs?

He's an angry Internet troll. That's how he started out, now he just trolls IRL.

Closest thing to punk he comes is just having tattoos. If anything his pessimistic and negative attitude towards everything, along with posts about his constant emotional drama, make him closer to emo than proper punk
I am just saying....like you said, he does not give a fuck. I said nothing of his tattoos? I consider my self punk rock and it goes much deeper than what I have inked on my skin. Yes I spin EDM and attended raves and clubs but my heart is and always will be more in punk rock music than EDM. Not saying I dont love the stuff I mix because I do. For me being a punk is more than just music and clothes and.....tats? It is a state of mind.

I feel where he is coming from, everyone wants to give the guy up top shit, doesn't matter how they are doing what they are doing. He is just saying fuck you to all the haters. I would too. The guy is a super geek when it comes to production and synth. Have you seen the pics of his new studio, I would not know where to go at all.

I do agree a little that there are other ways to go about telling the haters to piss off. Like Skrillex never said shit about all the crap people talked about him, his MBP and trigger finger, he just showed everybody he has it however and has started doing shows with CDJs. But really who are we to say that the way he chooses to handle things is right or wrong? He is wildly successful has a brand and make millions, again, if it was me, I would tell all of whoever to get fucked too.

I think Skrillex uses CDJs to avoid the laptop crashing problem.

Even better then....he has learned and shut people up, its awesome I think. And he is mixing. Before he was just doing an Ableton set all warped together (which is still cool as fuck and I cant figure it out, but I dont spend a lot of time trying either) and shit and then getting way outta control with the the transpose and beatmasher.

I dont understand his comments. He says contradictory things.

One one hand he calls DJ's lame button pushers, and on the other hand he talks about his shows as just playing pre-made stems and lets the computer beat-match it for him.
Surely thats even more lame, as you're just playing your own music every show. At least a DJ is sampling the best of whats out there and presenting it to the crowd ??

Good point.....I know he does not consider him self a DJ and hates being referred to as one, from what I understand.
