didi u know - pete tong used to sell ad space!

Pete Tong used to work for a music mag selling advertising space before he made it as a superstar DJ! and now look at him! How amazing is that? So dont lose faith if you are up and coming DJ and wondering how/when your big break will come. (it doesnt! - you have to make it happen)

He started so long ago as a kid, no one would ever consider been a DJ a career, the DJ's that had fulltime jobs were only radio DJ's.

Pete, even though having DJ'ed all his life only really became a pro about 10 years ago.

He prefers to have residencies, rather than flying into a city 15 mins before and after his set.

Question is, are we going to want to see pete on the decks when he is 60?

To me, he's more of a celebrity type of radio DJ than a professional club/gigging DJ. He's been in the industry for so long and yet he still sucks on the decks and never really cared to improve. I don't see any "DJ" skill/passion in that person. Same goes to so many celebrity "DJs" out there.

well maybe they improved (justice) not seen for them for 3 years! and they used what sounded like 128k mp3s for mixing. Mr c came on next and used vinyl and blew them away... far away! tune and sound quality wise
