    Pioneer DDJ S1 connectivity issues

    Hi,

My DDJ S1 does not connect to Serato, and is not showing in windows explorer as a device. The usb ports on my computer do work, and they are able to power the DDJ, but it isn't being recognized as a hardware device.
    Is there any solution?

    Thanks

did you try all the ports. My xponent would only work on the USB port it was installed in.

Had a similar issue with my NS7 not too long ago: everything was working flawlessly but after an update, my mac suddenly didn't recognize the NS7 anymore. I did a total re-install of ITCH (so also deleting all kernel files etc.) and a reboot, and got stuff working as usual again.

Welcome fellow Canadian.. GTA here also...

It could be a simple as a substandard usb cord, Some usb cables do not pass enough current to power a device like a controller. I had the same problem and switched cables and all was well. Were you able to install drivers?

I tried to re-install Serato, and the drivers and it still didn't work. That's interesting about the usb cable...I'll have to look into that. But I think if it can power the unit, it should also be recognizing the hardware.

Yes my controller lit up too but it still was not enough power supplied by the cable for it to actually work. Check you PM
