New Serato Mix Master Mike vid. SICK.

Okay, I've seen a lot of scratch videos but I don't think one has left me as wide-eyed and cock-jawed as this one. Even though I'm a mix guy, this is fucking inspirational and makes me want to learn to scratch.

I thought I'd seen everything this guy's done. Glad to be wrong.

I love how into it he gets. Like the old days of metal lead guitarists. The facial features, the flourish he gives before/after every phrase. Rock n roll ain't dead, it just uses faders now.

    Aren't those clear vinyl's?

Anyways, two things got me with this video...
    1. His showmanship! I love that half the time he's not even looking at his equipment and that he's just THAT confident in what he's doing.
    2. The crossfader work. really? Really?? REALLY??? I can't wrap my head around how that thing still has a stem left after that set! I don't think I've ever seen anyone work a fader that intensely and with that much mastery! He must go through one every show lol

Nope, those were Adrian Young serato vinyls. They are marbled brown colored vinyl.

Mix Master Mix is a living legend. He has earned every bit of praise that he's been given.

I didn't like that video much. It's a shame to see a hip-hop guy playing that sort of stuff IMO. It seems more about selling a product than what Mike is about, although obviously I don't know the guy and maybe he's into that stuff now.

For straight up juggling/cutting while using Serato, this video murders that one IMO: -
