So I just watched the movie and although it sucked, that was definitely one crazy party. I also noticed the Technics/serato setup.

It got me a bit down thinking that I will likely never be at such a crazy gong show like that but was wondering if any of you have ever been to a real-life Project X type gig? If so, please provide details so I can live vicariously through you.

I've been to a few crazy stags but nothing worth making a movie over.

Last one I threw a few years ago. Got busted. Cops said "The music was a little loud, I could hear Quiet Riot 2 streets over".

Qucik question that somehow relates to this: Do you DJs who DJ frat parties and stuff charge? If so how much? Because some people just throw last minute frats and stuff. I've heard DJs dj for beer and material things. Also do you bring your whole set? I'd personally never bring my Technics 1200s to a frat !

I bring a controller. they usually have the sound system pretty well setup, I don't charge....sometimes ill ask for a bottle of vodka or something and then the kegged beer. The vodka is mostly to give other ppl shots if they are going hard on the dance floor.

But yeah its always gotten nuts at the ones i've done, even house parties get outta hand....I had one in my apt building on the third floor (the apt complex was all empty for xmas break). I seriously had to stop playing EDM and switch to hip hop cuz i thought ppl jumping would collapse the floor, ill have to try to find pictures.

Also, apparently word was going around a local college bar and ppl were leaving the bar to come, luckily cops shut it down at 1:30....but they were complete dicks even though I was cooperative.
