I hate DJing, but I love mixing. Producing is boring as all get out.
Everybody is going to have an opinion.
Just do your thing to the best of your ability and have fun with it.

Producer 100%. A "producer" Doesn't DJ anyway....... They play live

Mixing = DJing for the purpose of this poll. Successful is relative to your own terms. The perfect mix.

I would rather be a producer who uses DJ tools and techniques to perform my productions live.
Our concept of "self" is merely the transition from the potential energy in our body into the kinetic energy of your actions.

+1 for aligning your vote to this and not claiming all producer with all the benefits of a DJ

edit: my post didn't make any sense.

Production>DJing. There's a reason that there are way more DJs than Producers.

Production > DJing. With that said, I do not produce but I don't consider myself an artist as a mix DJ either. It's a skill.

Also, for the poll, they do go hand in hand... the DJs that get gigs all over the country largely produce as well.

I value swimming in the ocean more than eating potatoes. But I value a good pastrami and rye more than a $20 beatport gift card.

    Its a tough one Hygro.
