    Club Standard CD Player

So I have been out of the loop for a while now, but I was wondering - what is the club standard CD player? Has any CD player taken over clubs the way that the Tech 1200 dominated the turntable market.

I would also be interested to hear the pros and cons of said CD player, but I am mainly interested in what CD player you are going to walk into at 80% of the clubs out there.

^ Yep. I'd honestly say the only cons are the price. But I'm sure some people will come along and say that there aren't enough features on it for them...

I suppose the main pros of these standard players are reliability and durability.

Every club down here has CDJ2000's, A few have not upgraded yet and have the 1000's still, but for the most part its the 2000's

Wow - that is 1800 a cd player - that is insane - $3,600 for the set up. No wonder only rich white kids are djing these days

What would you recommend for a home set up - that has a similar interface, but a much smaller price

It isn't about having features - just having a similar interface to the CDJ 1000/2000? CDJ-200 or the CDJ-350? so when you walk into the club you feel comfortable.

Personally, I like the look of the CDJ-200 for the price, but I don't own CDJ's so I can't vouch for the 200's reliability or durability.

I just picked up a pair of 900's for about 1450 on ebay those are essentially the replacement for the CDJ 1000's like the CDJ 1000mk4 and the 2000's are the next generation from Pioneer.

Any of the lower CDJ's, Same interface so when you get to the booth your not confused, 400's, 350's, 200's, 800's, 850's are all pretty budget friendly

the Pioneer cdj 2000's are club standerd if you interested your self in a good cdj that has the same feel as the cdj 2000, you should go for the cdj 350 - 850 - 900 or 2000's they all have recordbox its a really usefull computer programme, you can set loops and que points before you set.

If you not interested in that you should get the CDJ 1000 mk3 secondhand, they run around 500$ i gues so. thats about as expensive as the cdj 350! A really good deal if you ask me if your not interested in recordbox. Because you wil get a lot more features for the price. however the cdj 350 - 850 - 900 and 2000 all have usb and the 1000's doesn't so if you don't want to burn cd's and just use usb get one of the recordbox cdjs.

Also i see you use too play with vinyl the denon 3700 and 3900 have a moterized jog really nice if you like to play with vinyl because it emulates that feeling.

The denon 2900 are coming out soon they are about 800 euro's a piece they have the same features as the cdj 900 so thats also a realy nice one(btw the denon 2900 and 3900 have also a computer programme thats like recordbox really usefull and all have usb ports.

if your really on a budget get the gemini cdj 700 also about the same features but they rund around 500 dollars. same features as the cdj 900 but no recordbox and build quality is ????

I would get the gemini cdj 700 if i had around 1000$ for just players. if i had 1800 i would get the denon 2900 btw the denon 3900 are about 100 dollars extra so if you really want that vinyl feel get them. around 2200 dollars you can get two cdj 900.

For a low budget just get the gemini cdj 700, almost the same layout as the cdj 2000/900 and also almost the same features. Because i gues your budget is around that. Maybe the cdj 350 but in my opinion its not very similar too the cdj 2000
