Question Help for a new guy

Hey! I'm a 14-year-old DJ from Westchester, NY, going by DJ Zaspar. So far I've done 3 gigs for free, for birthday parties and a small school event. I currently use Traktor Pro 2 with a Numark Mixtrack, and I'm mainly a house DJ. However, I'm mostly "in the loop" with electro, DnB, dubstep, hardstyle, and trance. I'm hoping to produce with some friends over the summer, primarly with Maschine, Logic, and Ableton, as well as learn to use a Novation Launchpad.

So, I have a question. I'd like to get into scratching. I have 2 problems:

    1. I have rather big hands e_e

    2. The crossfader on my Numark is too small/plasticy for my hands, and I need something better

Now, my 15th birthday is coming up on July 1st, so I'm hoping to ask my parents for a set of cheap turntables, plus the relatively cheap Traktor control records. I'm really not sure what to buy, but I don't think the grand total can peak over $300-400. Regarding a mixer for these... I also have a Mackie Series 1202, and I don't think that's sufficient enough for scratching.

I'll leave you guys to it now. Thanks!

STR8's in that price range? Seems a little too good to be true, but I'll check it out at the classifieds section. Thanks for advice on the mixer as well.

Changed my mind, I need to hone my basic mixing skills before I buy hardware of that grade.
