This is getting fucking embarrassing. First Ferrer, and now Farina. Guess what... if you don't like the music, it's not fitting the environment of your club, or your patrons don't like it, be professional. Don't get take the DJ off. Find your promoter, music director, or whoever handles the bookings for your establishment, and tear them a new one or fire them. Mark Farina was given the boot because a couple of whales probably wanted to hear some rhianna.

Thought this was gonna be about the OP and came in thinking "ok there big boy".

I think this might have to do with the fact that promoters and booking agents are overestimating how easily a crowd might go from the guetta/pitbull edm played to death on radio and top40 clubs to real house.

This a result of promoters not knowing the dj's or the music/style they play. They hear a name and book based off how many other promoters know that name.

At least with the bigger name guys, they still get paid.

While my ego is giant (deservedly so, and most people should hope to be half as awesome I am one day), I'd never cry about losing a gig on a forum. Only to myself in my room alone, perhaps over an overcooked hungryman dinner that I left in the microwave too long while looking at dwarfs do nasty things to each other on the internet.
