    Beatgrid??

    OK well ive been playing with everything watching videos and such things and well what is the beatgrid and how does it work?

    When you beatgrid a track it places evenly spaced lines throughout it. The idea is that each of these lines will be at the beginning of a kick or snare. Once that's done, Traktor not only knows the BPM of the song, it knows where each kick/snare is in relation to the kick/snare on the track playing on the other deck. That's how auto-sync works - it simply lines up the two grids which would mean that the kicks/snares are hitting at the same time on both tracks, therefore the tracks are in sync.
