Flash drive for use with rekord box

I want to get a couple thumb drives for use with rekord box and CDJ850s. Every single flash drive I look at someone is bitching about the speed of it. Also maybe one of you has had trouble with particular drives one CDJs.

Im probably going to get 8-32GBs. Once you get much more music than that searching through all those tracks becomes a bitch, even with playlists.

This is fairly trivial I feel, but people on here usually have some good insight.

I've given up on flash drives. They're okay for transporting files but for long term use there reliability is shocking. I prefer to used external HD's.

Yeah, i just like the idea of being able to carry all my gear for a set in one pocket. two flash drives and some IEMs. That would be siiiick.

Ive had a kingston one that has lasted for ever. I also have a Sony micro usb but that is a bit sketchy sometimes with connectivity

I've had many sandisks and they all seemed to work fine with rekordbox with fast load times on the CDJ 350's

I've been looking at the Kingston 128GB. Currently, the lowest price I see on google shopping is $160.31

I've seen it below $110 in the last few months though.

That may seem like a lot of files to sort through on such a big flash drive but I am in the process of reorganizing my music in such a way that nothing is more than about 10 clicks away using my Denon DN-HD2500 controller. The key is, I'll be using Media Monkey to find the files and have index numbers that tell me which folders I need to drill down through. For backup to Media Monkey, I'll have printed out indexes so I'm not screwed if and when my laptop takes a dive. (later I'll be adding a 2nd laptop too) For a club DJ I would think one wouldn't need such a large capacity drive and a 32 or 64 would be fine. Also, I plan on having two identical flash drives so there's backup redundancy there too.
