The purpose of DJ Camp is to improve on a set/sets over a 30-day period. There are different ways we can do this, so you guys let me know what you think.
What I propose is we choose a set/genre that we want to improve on.
Here's how it works:
1) Grab enough songs for a 30-minute set.
2) Record a 30-minute set
3) Practice that set for a week.
4) At the end of the week, post a new mix and show your improvement in that set.
We can do a different set for three consecutive weeks.
For the fourth week, we will practice putting all three sets together as you would for a party.
For example:
Week 1: trance
Week 2: disco
Week 3: rap
Week 4: Mix it all up or play one genre after the other with smooth transitions
What do you guys think? Anyone interested?
There is also Scratch Camp, which is a similar concept, but for scratching--for those who are interested.
