Need 4 Channel Controller, S4 dead.

So my S4... died... I need a perferably 4 channel controller with built in sound card.. Is the Denon 2 channel my only option? I'm in Traktor.

The Dnon is a fine controller but i am a fan of the Hercules series of controllers. The 4-MX is compatible with Traktor and also comes with a copy of Virtual DJ. The sound cards in the Hercules are great and it has inputs for turntables or CDJ's.

do you use the 4-mx now? how do you like it? i've had mine for a few months now and it's served me quite well.

I do plan on upgrading this summer to a denon mc6000 though. the myriad of outputs and inputs + standalone mixing + 2 mic inputs is a godsend for mobile djing.

been considering the vci 400 too. hmmm mc6000 or vestax vci 400?

I know the NS6 is a great controller and one of my favorite 4 channel controllers but you're in traktor so I think the Denon MC6000 would be a good controller. LOTS of people love the controller. I would say the VMS4.1 for traktor but you might feel like it's a downgrade when you use it. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing controller. Other than that you have the VCI-400 or the Pioneer DDJ-T1.

You could get a S2 which I know I supposed to be a 2 deck controller, but I have 2 different .tsi files that mod it to be a 4 deck. Basically, the shift+tempo button on each side causes that deck to change into the one that is displayed beneath it. A -> C and B -> D. I use this and it works well.

I use a 4-mx now and for the foreseeable future. I have been using Hercules products for over 10 years now and every one that I have ever used is still working. ( believe it ir not I owned a Numark NS7 for 2 years and although it is by far the best feeling midi controller for scratching ever made it was to big to carry around) I have heard that Hercules is building a killer controller that is coming out late summer or fall and if it is a big step forward I will be getting that.
