The EAW SB1000 is a touring quality sub capable of really pumping out some decent spl, but ideally you need at least at least 4 of them to get the benefit of them because they weigh too much and you need an extremely powerful amplifier that can output 2,400 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load at full bandwidth, meaning 20hz-20khz. Pay no attention to specs that state 1khz power ratings because power output can be very much lower at other frequencies and especially frequencies which a sub will be used at.

The other problem you will find with these is what your pairing them with. They would need to work with some pretty powerful tops, otherwise your going to be constantly adjust your input levels to your subs vs your tops due to the output of them. What tops would you be using them with? 312A's, K12's ect won't keep up

Another VERY important thing is that they need to be used with an EAW loudspeaker management system because then you'd have presets for eq and limiting, without the correct eq setting they're not gonna sound as good as they should do, far from it.

Any decent DSP will do the job since the DSP settings can be downloaded from the EAW site.

A pair of these can possibly be borrowed?
You want to borrow a pair of these?
    That seems strange...
Nevertheless, I don't think there would be a problem, if you found someone who was willing to lend them to you.
