Definitely not mymp3pool - I had a terrible experience with them. I hear DJcity is pretty nice.

mymp3pool's quality of tracks are shitty, stay away. If quality is not of concern, mymp3pool is alright.

Djcity makes dl'ing a little difficult but its worth the extra steps befcause they're quality has never dissapointed. With DJcity you will NOT find a huge backlog of hits of all eras. It's mostly new stuff with few throwbacks and a lot of remixes, some remixes of older joints too. Wedding parties mostly want the originals. Redrums you can get away with.

This leads me to DMS..... www.directmusicservice.com by legendary DJ Kevin Scott. DMS has a HUGE collection. It is expensive but WELL worth it for the backlog of songs of ALL genres and eras. Perfect for weddings.

I use DMS and DJcity. Pay for the quality!

You're comparing apples to oranges. DJ City is DJ Pool DMS is not. DJ pools are for new music it's not supposed to be a music store for all genres from any era. DMS is similar to Amazon, itunes or any music online retailer that sells digital formats except you pay by the month instead of per song. Two different concepts.

Zipdj has served me very well, and you can find a review of it made by Nick James I think.

Do you even know what the f you're talking about? DMS is very much so a record pool. They do NOT charge per download. DMS is more per month than DJcity but that is because it is an open format DJ's paradise!

Hamza doesn't know what he's talking about. Brian, take it from me. I play 3 nights a week or more. My team has up to 20 bar/club/odd gigs per week.

My best advice is to NOT limit yourself to one pool. BUT, if I was starting fresh and didn't care about getting a backlog of edits then I would go with DJcity or this ZipDj that get's great reviews here on DJF.

Also, don't shy away from the pay per dl sites like yourremix, crooklyn clan, beatport and others. There are some absolute GEMS in those pools.

Take a breath and read what you wrote. You don't know what you're talking about a DJ pool is for NEW Music only. DMS started out as pool but turned into online music service provider like Amazon except as I stated before YOU PAY per MONTH. Nowhere did I write DMS makes you pay per download. Again you don't understand the concept of a DJ pool vs a music provider. Pools are new music only and music providers are for buyers of any music which why DMS has a wider selection than pools because it not pool it is online music provider. The difference between DMS and Amazon is the customer base. DMS is for deejays while for amazon it's for anybody. I can't explain it anymore simpler than that.

The only reason I posted my original comment was because your comment:

Which you knocked a DJ pool for being DJ pool. Which underscored you didn't understand the concept of a DJ pool.DJ Pools don't provide a backlog of hits that's not what they do they only provide new music.

Not true. Buy a month subscription to DMS and then come back and post. They put new music up almost every day. They are cool enough to keep a backlog. Over 8000 edits. Amazon doesn't put up dj edits. Again, DJcity is also an awesome pool too.

It goes like this for a non-video dj:

    1. DMS
    2. Club Killers
    3. DjCity / ZipDJ
    4. Yourremix.Com, Crooklyn Clan, and other Pay per DL pools.
    5. Google
