Thread: Should I switch from Serato to a Traktor A6 package given these circumstances?

  1. #11
Do the switch. The A6/A10 upgraded it's sound quality from the previous generation which was already stellar. I run traktor with extremely low latencies on my A10, and my recordings sound awesome. Not that important, but the card looks sexy too

Beyond the soundcard itself, I personally like traktor far more than serato.

I've bought it, so I'll see how it goes. Hopefully I like it, but if not I can return it. I've got someone lined up to buy my SL1 off me for £200, so fingers crossed things will work out fine. Cheers gentlemen.

Oh, and Playback - Stop posting shit replies to threads dood. Someone asked for tracks that are around 140 BPM in the hip-hop section and your reply was "you be better off looking for songs that are 70bpm & or less."

Yeah, I realise that, but if someone asks you for tracks that are 140 BPM or above, you don't reply by saying you're BETTER off looking for songs that are 70 BPM or less unless you're a fucking mong.

Why didn't you use the SL1 as a soundcard?

Because I believe the SL1 box is only good for the SL program and nothing else. It can't be used as an external soundcard for other applications. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Still…doesn't have the extra input pair for recording.

TS A6 is much cheaper than an SL3. I'd go that route unless you really hated Traktor.
