Going to get right to the point need help with a choice

OK Im going to get straight to it. I use traktor now and want to switch to ableton. That being said I am looking for a controller that is good for live play as well as producing, basically I want to remix on the fly during my sets. Which controller would be good for this I've done the looking but cant make a decision. $300 is my limit and that is for a GOOD piece of kit.

    Thanks for looking

You want to look at used controllers. Do you want keys or just pads? A lot of pad controllers can do what you want. Launchpad can be gotten for under $150 and then combined with a small keyboard like an M-Audio Oxygen 8 you can have a lot of good tools at your disposal. My experience with Ableton is having a keyboard is VERY important for production (my opinion), and having a trigger system for the cells is also very useful.

Cool thanks bro. I have an mpk mini already and I was thinking of picking up a launchpad today. Gotta figure out how to use em outside of clip launching while djing

What do you mean? As in ways to use them to do things that are more interesting than launching clips, or using different software?

I brought a new apc40...holy hell this thing is so legit with ableton! I just have to get use to blending in Ableton because it's so much different from traktor...Also Mixed in key is of no help so far lol
