I'm fairly new to Traktor so right now I don't bother correcting things. The only "effect" I am using right now is the built in filter. Anything else I do manually (looping, cueing, beatmatching, etc.)

I play a lot of old stuff that won't grid properly so I don't generally bother manually checking the grids.
For looping and FX I tap in the beat when I need it if the auto grid is out

I spent a few months a while ago gridding and cue pointing and locking my whole collection as well. I can't take risks with rhythmic FX, loops and the whatnot.

in Traktor....all of your effects are based on beat grids as well. So if you dont bother to set them properly, you are only scratching the surface of what the program has to offer.
^ Some people just don't care about FX and loops. I wanted to see if not analyzing was a popular choice. It doesn't appear to be popular.

I quit using Traktor because I was sick of setting and editing beat grids. Moved to SSL because I never remembered doing that before when I was on it.
The looping seems to work based off calculated BPMs and transient detection just fine. Cues the same way. Though, realistically, I'm so happy to not worry about beat grids that I don't use either all that much.
Have to wonder how many of you guys own a 5 speed car - yet only use the first 4 gears.![]()
6 speed.
Typically use the first 5 since 6 sacrifices too much torque for normal traffic speeds and ends up either wasting gas or wearing the clutch…it only matters on longer highway trips above 70mph, which means that 6th is never efficient if you're not speeding in GA.
In the city, I use 2nd and 3rd more often than anything else, often skipping first, depending on lights…and never go above 4th…most of the time in the city, even 4th doesn't give enough torque to be useful.
