DJ 4CE, are you the josh.smith that posted on the Serato forums about the same thing? Is the serial number on your original receipt? If so, hopefully the sticker is still on the underside of the SL1, that way you can definitely prove it's yours. Hopefully you paid with a credit card too so your name is on the receipt.

I would not be happy if someone stole my stuff. At least your contract covered it. That's how dumb a lot of people are, they will steal something and then post it on CL or eBay. Good for you man.

Yep, they show his username, which is his dj name, and the dates and times. The background picture of his twitter account is pics of himself. It has where he listed the "seratobox" for sale, one guy asked which model and how much, he replied "150 and s1"

I brought everything to the police yesterday, the officer said they have enough to charge the guy with felony grand larceny. The officer called me back last night and stated he had made contact with the guy, told him he was gonna have an arrest warrant, and it was in his best interest to return the SL1. I haven't heard anything this morning whether or not the guy showed up. I had my detective hat on all day yesterday... feels good to bust this a-hole, and ruin him.

even tho they told you that trust me with no evidence or serial number of that box they can't do nothing.

go show the club people so he won't be allowed there and slander his name out to every promoter.

I would fb him with the screen shots and be like the club had cameras at the booth and this is the proof i needed to put u away, then i would beat his ass.

my friend 57 was stolen and he didnt have the serial and they said they couldnt arrest no one unless the serial number was on file.

guess what Guitar Center had the record of purchase and the serial number.

found out one of our friend stole it.

Yeah, same one. Wow good memory. I can't find the original reciept (bought it back in 08). Can't find the box either. I called Sam Ash today, they said they could pull up the reciept, but the serial shouldn't be on it... Im going to call my regular salesman tomorrow to check with him.

Unfortunatly no serial numbers. But I can prove its mine by plugging it into my laptop. Its already updated, if it wasn't mine, it will say loading device drivers. I have the reciept when I bought in in 2008. I just got back onto his twitter account, and he has been deleting the tweets about selling it, but I already have screenshots lol. I found the guy he is going to sell it to and everything. Going back to the police station around 7 to talk to the officer, and bring him all the screenshots, and information I found. Its not worth beating someone just to get it back, hell I can buy them all day long on ebay for 2-300. I will ruin his reputation though. I may need some help from DJF, with blowing up his twitter, facebook, and phone though.
