Thread: Tacoma/Seattle "scene"

    Question Tacoma/Seattle "scene"

Can anyone educate me about the electronica scene out here? I currently reside in Lacey, WA and coming from the East coast, I have no idea what the deal is out here, or where to go. I'm in to techo, tech-house, DnB, dubstep etc... kind of open to lots of things.

Check out Uniting Souls. Probably a bit more funky/deep house, but not entirely sure.

My folks moved to Hansville... really nice there. Fantastic beer scene!

there isnt much going on down in your area. You're actually right in between the two big scenes out here- Seattle and Portland.

http://nwtekno.org/index.php used to be the place to go, but ever since facebook not very many people go there any more. You can still browse it and get an idea about where to go and who the promoters are. Then add the promoters on facebook and you'll be getting invites all day long. Also, something I stumbled on to a little while ago... on FB click on events and then under it appears another link "Suggested Events." Try that out and you might find a few events youre interested in.

Its actually a thriving scene out here. There is a rave on just about every weekend of the year. Some pretty good club nights as well. One of my crews has a club night coming up - https://www.facebook.com/events/326007000787842/ - its trance though, and you sound like more of a house fan.

    Hope that helps =]

Turns out Seattle is too much of a pain for me to get to. Still haven't found anything around the Olympia area...

ya theres very little outside of seattle...just curious, y is it hard to get up to seattle, only 45min away just take the 5 all the way up, couldnt be easier unless you dont have your own transport the i can see it being a little hard, but there are always peeps going up from oly to seattle on fri/sat nights so it wouldnt be too hard to catch rides
