    What cables do this?

I am not looking to record live instruments but would a USB sound card
    be needed?

RCA output from your Z1 to 1/4 inch jack input on your speakers.

Really your speakers need a balanced input, but unbalanced should work ok.
If you get any hum or are using long cables, get a DI box.

oh .... and Nottingham represent! Beeston in the house!
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

Yeah I'm looking to eventually get rid of N.I controller.
I'm getting cdjs next week and need to find set up mixer that I can run.

Any suggestions on hooking up laptop and tablet for when I'm just listning to music. I don't mind switching out cables as I don't have a mixer. to work out.

I'm also in the market for buying further kit. Speakers, DJ Mixer, Sound Card etc budget 600-700.
