    My best work yet.

I picked up a Numark DJ2GO Touch back in March and found that it pairs quite nicely with my Pioneer DDJ-SP1 and thought they make a pretty good back-up set-up. So I decided to make a road case for the duo.

    And it begins:

I had to make a bracket for the 1/8" headphone jack and used a small piece of aluminum sheet:

I messed up on my measurements for the rear wiring portion. FUUUUUUUUUU..... I still made it work, but it didn't come out as clean as planned.

Getting ready for the foam inserts and paint.

    ......

Because all the connections for both units are on the side, I had to buy right angle cables for all of the jacks.

Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.

    Paint with all the hardware:

Foam inserts that I cut to shape:

    Now our Logo.
I'm sure I've mentioned before how much I hate painting, and masking was something I have never even tried previously, but I still gave it a shot.

I have no idea what I'm doing lol:

I was surprised it wasn't a total trainwreck.

What do you guys think? Do the "waveforms" look ok? They kind of look like cupcakes laying on their side to me.

I wanted to add a shoulder strap and ended up using drawer pulls for the strap attachment.

    Ready 2 Go!

All in all, it was a crap ton of work but I think well worth it in the end as I'm very happy with the results.

Let me know what you think. And thanks for looking!

Nah, I've been working right through this whole covid thing - it's been really stressfull as I work in a hospital (may have mentioned that in the Covid thread.) and it's just stupid busy. This project was a nice stress reliever though.
