I have a Onkyo PR-SC5508 preamp + PA=MC5500 powe amp 250w RMS @ 4Ohms. JAMO D7 400W @4Ohm speakers x9 as the amp is 9.2 and a Kreisel Design DXD 1500w RMS subwoofer, so plenty of grunt... I guess I was looking for something even louder and deeper, but I think unless I want to part with 2k or more I won't get that type of sound...

So you have a pretty nice home theater system, how much did you spend on that?. Louder won't be a problem but deeper bass simply won't happen even with 10x more money, with pro audio speakers low bass is sacrificed for higher sensitivity and higher maximum SPL. And if you have any kind of ear for sound quality you would be appalled by the sound of those JRX speakers, they are terrible even by DJ speaker standards.

Well, after consideration I ordered the 2.1 system as some suggested, came yesterday. It's quite good, but not deep enough for my needs. Going to keep it though and use it with something...
