Is my flight case damaging my 1200?

Bought a 1200, bought a flight case, put 1200 in flight case, put foam square on spindle, closed the lid, the foam seems to be pushing the platter into the deck ever so slightly just before the lid shuts, maybe a couple mm or so and seems like it’s just at the front can’t see movement towards the middle or back of platter

Will this damage my 1200 deck after a while or will it eventually push back against the foam into its normal position? Flight case is brand new so foam hasn’t been worn in and this deck may be staying boxed up for many years with the odd occasion of use if time permits

Could remove foam square holding platter in place and just store flight case flat instead of upright

Remove the platter and store separately.

Yes, why not, since you won't be moving the case.
