    Wireless Monitors

This is a repost from the beginners section per advice...

Just dropped by for some quick advice. Our church is small but we have a nice PA system that is working great. However, all we have are speakers pointing toward the congregation but no monitors for those on the stage. We were thinking of adding 3 wireless monitors and 2 wireless headphones for the musicians.

Question: Is there a single wireless transmitter that can send to 3 speakers and 2 headphones?
Can this be done with no lag?
Can someone recommend a better way of doing this?

    Thanks in advance...

Something to consider, even the most expensive wireless system costing thousands of dollars per channel isn't as good as a cable. For wireless to work the speaker locations will need AC power so you would be running cables anyway, and if that is the case why not just put some XLR cables in at the same time. Don't count on Bluetooth being a viable wireless technology, it's real usable range is quite limited and it is prone to dropouts because it was never designed to be used in professional applications, pro wireless systems include several design features to better deal with busy wireless environments.

We have a snake that runs to the front of the church but we've been trying to reduce visible wires in the sanctuary as they detract from the appearance.

I was speaking to our musician (since we don't have anyone who runs our sound board, it's unmanned) and he thinks we can get by with two. A headset for the drummer and a monitor for him on the keyboard so he can hear how the choir sounds on the feed. I think I saw a wireless solution that would let you connect two, but it may have been bluetooth???
