    Sound delay in wired headphones

    Hi people,

Hoping anyone can shed some light on an issue I’m having...

My old sound system has packed in, so as a short term fix I decided to connect my Samsung soundbar and sub woofer to my mixer via 3.5mm jack to 2x RCA.

I’m getting audio through this, but when I go to mix a track I notice that the sound playing through the headphones isn’t the same time as what’s playing through the speakers. I’ve tested it by playing a track on deck 1 and listening to deck 1 through headphones and it sounds like the headphone or speaker is playing faster than the other.

Has anyone had this issue before? I’ve read about RCA audio decoders and wonder if this might fix the issue?

    Thanks

Sound bars have DSP processing built in, resulting in delay.

They are designed for cheap room saving TV sound enhancement, not DJing. There is no fix for this.

Cheers for clearing that up! No longer have to waste my time racking my brain over it.
