I’m late to the party on this so please bear with me. I have 4 Chauvet EZ Par 64’s that I want to control through DMX. I believe the uplights are D-Fi ready. I have a Chauvet Obey 40 that I’ve never used. I also have the Chauvet IR remote to the uplights as well. I’ve seen the D-Fi dongles in action and were impressed. In my research of buying dongles I came across the CHAUVET DJ D-Fi Hub: https://www.guitarcenter.com/CHAUVET...-Controller.gc.

Here are my questions:
1. Are the dongles old tech compared to this D-Fi Hub? It says it can be used as a transmitter or receiver. Does that mean I need two?

2. I’m assuming that the Chauvet hub is only compatible with Chauvet D-Fi ready units. I’m okay with this because I’m planning on purchasing more Chauvet uplights. Is this the case?

3. Can anyone share their experience with using the dongles or the units? I believe the dongles are universal and a little cheaper.

Any help and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Que Yi
