    Projector for Monogram Issue

Hey y'all, I just bought a used NEC 500U 5000 lumen projector for Monograms. I'm having some issues with it and would appreciate any feedback.

    1) If I use a USB drive to project the "Transparent" PNG file with the Monogram, it's not transparent... it's just a white box. I got GIF to be transparent, but this is lower quality. Any idea of other file formats that might work? Or why this projector may be turning the PNG into a white box?

    2) Even with a transparency, the power of the projector bulb is putting out a slightly red/black box onto the wall. Any idea how to deal with this? It's quite unsightly as it's not just the Monogram being projected, but a noticeable box around it as well.

    Thank you!

If you don't have the manual, you can get it here: https://www.necdisplay.com/p/np-pa500u
    Scroll down to Product Documentation.
Look at chapter 4 on how to use the USB viewer.

Thanks man. Good call. Turns out the USB viewer cannot read "Interlaced" PNG files, but standard PNG are fine. The Halo box is still an issue for me, but cest la vie.
