meh.. I can see a mobile dj using this to save some space. It has all of the essentials and Numark has never let me down - I've owned plenty of their products.

I wouldn't buy one for myself but I don't only see this being used as a toy.

While I agree the Prime Go is a much better "portable" controller, I wouldn't be too comfortable pulling it out on the train on my commute to and from work. And not out of fear that I'm going to get jacked for it, at 999.99 US it's more for fear of damaging it. For a portable unit, I'm not sure the protruding knobs and USB port on the front / back panels was such a wise design choice.

The unit appeals to me because it's compact enough that I can prep my tracks during my commute and just throw it in my backpack when I'm done without worrying too much about it. I'm certainly not going to be gigging with it. However if my partners' SX2 dies for some reason the DJ2GO would be an good enough back-up.

But you're right; kids do like the wiki, wiki .

As a backup for a mobile DJ, I think it's ideal since it is so small, has XLR outs & can be used without a laptop.
But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

Ya, considering the features and XLR outs the Prime Go would be a perfect backup, but that price doesn't exactly scream "backup"

Backup? Iphone, djplayer pro and djtogo2 touch. And Xone 23c, if you insist. Wait, this is not a back up, this is main rig.

You look at the Denon PRIME lineup and think GO is a main rig?

It's PRIME's entry-level product at most. Portability with versatility is obviously what they were striving for.

I was mainly joking, but xone 23c + GO for for the midi controls is actually quite good. It even has dvs capability and you can add mini kaoss pad for fx. Not bad even for a main rig, heh?

I think that's been the general consensus since its reveal. A 4 channel 72 would have been the logical choice, but who knows what else Rane may have planned for NAMM.
