So what did you end up choosing?
Or did you go with a DIY option?
I started with Butter Rugs years ago, and haven't ever switched to anything else.

If I was doing it again I would probably just buy the cheapest one that says it's for scratching.
But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

Was it a used (secondhand) turntable? I've never heard of Sl-1200/1210 turntables coming with slipmats, I didn't know that was a thing.

Only other performance scratching slipmats are Dr Suzuki Tablecloths.

But yeah...Qbert & Yogafrog signed my 'Rugs and they transfer their skills through osmosis. So I stick with them.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

I always trimmed a plastic record liner and put it under the felt mat. Guess force of habit to doing it that way for years. I never liked the way the butter rugs felt so thin.

For scratch, I use Serato x Thud Rumble Butter Rugs.
Don't forget to use slipsheets also if you scratch (i use Dr.Suzuki Slip´n Slide Sheets)
