I just came across two economy Hanpin Super OEM turntables.

    Epsilon DJT1300 http://epsilon-pro.com/turntables-dj...sb-silver.html
    DJ Tech SL1300MK6USB http://www.djtechpro.com/eng/product-details.php?id=11

They were honorable mentions in this Top 5 list.

But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

Thanks for the reminder, I saw this video last week while scouring YouTube for DJ turntable reviews. I was a little turned off by these two honorable mentions b/c of the funky shape, plastic finish and non-brand-name recognition. A quick look at the specs of Epsilon and DJ Tech vs the Reloop RP-7000 MK2 is showing these differences:
    • Weight: The Reloop is noticeably heavier than the other two, I'm guessing due to the extra rubber isolation added as mentioned in one of those reviews.
    • Startup speed is lower with the Reloop than the Epsilon, tho this is weird since they should both be the same motor. Startup time not listed w/the DJ Tech.

Also, I wonder what the difference in the internal electronics are as far as the signal chain from the needle to the phono/line outs... Not sure if I'll be able to find anything on that without taking them apart... I do need to probably sit down and make a spreadsheet comparing all the specs of the RP-7000 MK2 to these turntables and others in it's class before laying down the cash.

I don't know if Hanpin does that or if some other third party does. Because they seem to vary widely from brand to brand. Some require a ground wire, some don't. Some have midi functions, some don't. Etcetera, etcetera.

I think starting & braking speed is controlled electronically since a lot of turntables have variable starting and stopping speeds.
