Help fixing Numark digital DJ mixer-- effects section broken

Hey everyone-- I've tried to scour the internet for schematics and other help with this issue. Essentially the effects section lights up on my DXM09 but they don't affect the sound. Everything else works as it's supposed to. Anyone have some pointers to fixing this?

    thanks for any pointers

I don't fancy your chances of getting this repaired.
The mixer is about 20 years old, and spending any money on it is not really reasonable. Your money is better spent either getting a new mixer or a DVS system.
You could open it up to check for corrosion and use a multimeter to test the connections.
FX these days are usually done via computer as they sound a lot better and there is more variety.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

The DXM09 is. according to Numark, a "100% digital" mixer.. that means, there's no actual effects electronics in it to break.. the effects are just part of the software that runs the whole mixer. So, my guess is that it's one of the switches are broken, or a loose solder connection or loose connector connecting the switches to the circuit board (basically, a small computer in there). The effects assign switch maybe. Clean out those switches with a little deoxit spray, re-seat any internal connectors and check for broken solder connections where the switches attach to the board.. that's about all you can do.

It sucks because it's a nice mixer, but prob not worth putting much money into at this point, any pro repair is going to cost you more than the mixer is worth.
