Where do you upload your mixes?

Couldn't find a thread on this topic, but apologies if I missed it.

Mixcloud and Soundcloud are the obvious sites, but both have significant drawbacks - basically you have to maintain an expensive paid subscription for it to be practical. SC charges uploaders for time (only the unlimited plan is practical for DJ mixes), and MC now charges listeners (Medium article) to avoid harsh listening restrictions. Debating the pros and cons of these models is academic to me as neither one is good for a hobbyist DJ who isn't trying to build a massive fan base or monetize their mixes.

What I've found so far... House-mixes.com has been a great site, but it is slowly breaking with bugs due to lack of maintenance and the support page has disappeared. Hearthis.at is the best choice I've found so far. Functionally it has everything I need, and both their free and premium plans provide far better value for someone like me. I stumbled on to mix-sets.com but haven't really tried it yet. Youtube has also been suggested, and I'd consider using it as a second site if it would work (just using cover art or something for the video). Several other sites that I searched were defunct.

So, what are good alternatives for DJ mixes? Any thoughts?

Good shout on Lastfm - I use SC myself and it does rinse your wallet!

I would be VERY careful about YT - they have installed lots of algorythms that take down/ silence sections of videos if they detect copyrighted material - regardless of fair use/ proper licencing etc.

I really loved the day when Mixcloud shut down one of my mixes, on copyright grounds. For something that I had copyrighted. They received a really unpleasant, sarcastic email from me, and were told what to do. Waived in 72 hours.

So yes, LastFM is one of those alternatives.

About Last.fm, I must be confused or doing something wrong. I can log in to my account (not used recently but works), but for playing back music it just opens up a Youtube video of the track, and if that's not available then there's nothing to play, just information. There's an option to change the playback source but the only choices are Youtube and Spotify, like no audio is actually hosted on the site. Also, I can't find a link to upload anything.

I'm certainly wary of Youtube because their policy says mixes aren't actually allowed. There are loads of discussions about how to avoid getting a take down, and debating whether you should even try. So, I don't see YT as an viable option.

I've recently used https://sowndhaus.audio it works ok. You can put tracks or mixes up and make them downloadable. Something different, try it out if you need to.

Love having options but how is someone supposed to find this site unless they know the exact spelling or get a direct link.

There's https://hearthis.at, a soundcloud clone. I posted my mixes there but the site doesn't have a lot listeners. Brooklyn Radio and Repo form Aging Bboy Unite posts there as well. Aside from mixcloud there's always the tried and true https://house-mixes.com.
