Yamaha DSR vs JBL PRX tops

    Hello everyone,

I have a Yamaha DSR115 and a DSR112 that I use for large gigs and outdoor gigs. I’ve been wanting get another DSR115 but waiting for a great deal. I’ve come across a good deal on a JBL PRX815W and was wondering if it would pair well with the DSR115. I know it’s a Frankenstein setup but wanted to get some advice. So what are your thoughts if I replaced the 112 with the 815w.

    Thanks,
    Que Yi

No not a good match, the JBLs sound like speakers with a distortion effects box added compared to the DSRs.

The JBL sound fine, but they sound very different than the DSR. I wouldn't mix the 2 side by side. The new Yamaha DZR line is killer. Not sure what your budget is, but I think they would pair very well with the DSR.
