I'll be 63 next month, still here. I met my wife at a Disco I DJed at back in the 70's. Still married. I DJ in clubs occasionally, but I spend my time now making olds school Disco mixes on youtube.
Older DJ's generally have more knowledge of the scene, because they've been on it for longer. We remember when house first hit, and Jungle, and seen through the changes of kit.
When the youth invent their own music that takes over the clubs, then we'll be too old; but until then, we're not moving out! haha
I retired from my club residency when I was 50. Only because my first child was going to be born in a couple of months. I'm 58 now. I am an open format DJ and the club play all music from the 50's to the current top music at the time. I think being older helped because I had a knew a lot of older music that a younger DJ might not know.
Like it's been said, age doesn't matter as long as they are good enough

i personally couldn't stay passionate about that music (pop, rnb, edm) for so long. but if it's your job, and you do it well, and repetition hasn't killed your inspiration enough to keep up w/ the music and present it in a way that is profitable, then it shouldn't matter if you're 70! get a retirement plan set up!!!

You're too old when you can't play to the crowd.
