Help with identifying this sound effect

    https://youtu.be/pOXFvvAfr94?t=125

Right at 2:07 when the new track comes in there is a laser type sound that I've heard before.

Is he triggering a sample? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

dont think that is a laser sample, just part of the incoming song

Yeah, I agree it does not sound like a "laser" category of sample.

Sounds like a lady squealing in the audience because her favourite track came up

Sounds like the "Wow" from that Clash song... (at 12 seconds).

But I agree; it's likely just some girl excited in the crowd that a song she knows is coming in.

It sounds similar to the beginning of Steve Miller’s Jungle Love https://youtu.be/LM3cE8g5iYg
I’ve heard other hip hop / open format DJs using it.
Not sure if he’s triggering a sample or it’s an FX I don’t know about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Echo with high pass filter layered over the track via the wet/dry controls?
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

Bit of phasing going too isn't it? Many CDJS/controllers have that function.
