    Birth of the 12" single

Interesting video of how disco influenced the creation of the 12" single.

Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.

Nice find. Love watching and learning about the history of the music. Love that Donna Summer track too.

    Thanks for sharing !

Here's that track too if anyone wants to hear the full version . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2qI6UDD2uQ

GREAT find! I loved 12" singles. Those singlehandedly (see what I did there) destroyed my wallet as a teen.

I've read the books like How to DJ right... to learn about... beatmatching, phrasing w/e , Speed Test Scrabble Word Finder Solitaire but when I go to mix...

I feel your pain, although I didn't mind one bit back then. I was just too happy to have new rekkids!!

You know, I thought that CD Singles would be better but instead they weren't fun and didn't seem to catch on. Weird, right?

all respect to georgio but Patrick Cowley really wrung the best out of that track

Makes you wonder how much better the songs would have been produced without the constraints of the vinyl pressing process.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix
