Who has a great holiday gig story? You know, a story where you thought one thing would happen but then another chain of events occurred. Was there a lesson learned?

I've read the books like How to DJ right... to learn about... beatmatching, phrasing w/e , Speed Test Scrabble Word Finder Solitaire but when I go to mix...
I once played a gig dressed as Santa.. I can't remember much except I was sweating like an ape.

Once played a quiet new years eve gig at home.
Realised things were getting large when bouncers* on the front door asked who I was when I went to get back in.
Ended up playing a total of 18 hours of mixing straight.
*Bouncers from a local nightspot magically appeared in the middle of the night because they noticed hundreds of people from the local area were drawn to the incessant party music. They kindly gave their services for free.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix
Did a holiday party for my old doctor's office. (went there when I was a teen)
At that time, the practice was known by the two owners, Doctor Joseph and Doctor Koshar.
Long after I went elsewhere, Doctor Joseph passed away.
As I am doing the party, I meet Doctor Koshar.
Since Doctor Joseph was the doctor I always saw...HIS name is what stuck in my head.
I knew that he had died, but my mouth just kept falling back into an old habit.
I spent most of the evening referring to Doctor Joseph....
until someone came up and told me.
I didn't even know I was doing it.
Funny part was....they had a great time!

I did a few sets [bank holidays, birthdays] where I played vinyl for 9 hours straight - one time I had the flu', although I thought I was getting-over it; by the end of that set, I was properly tripping, audio trip, visual impairment, feeling like my arms didn't belong to me; it was HORRIBLE.
