Thread: any of you know anything about Cubase?

    the steinberg website is so complicated it would make you lose the will to live i have logged a support ticket, lets see what they say

    actually i have figured out the problem.

    the sample rate of cubase must be set to match the native sample rate of your audio interface, not the audio that you are using. so, in my case, apparently my interface is only capable of working at 48k, hence cubase has to be set to 48k aswell.
    my cubase was defaulting to 44.1k when i opened it up and i saw no reason to change it since my audio was also 44. if i changed it upwards to 48 after importing the audio it would make it worse. i need to set it to 48 before i do anything basically.
    problem solved, at last
