Looking for equipment for music resampling
Hi.
I have few questions, as a beginner.
- I have this dream to be able to produce music by myself (mostly by myself), even though was not born with "Musical Hearing".
Do you think I can learn how to resample jazz oldies into electro rhythm? something like this: https://youtu.be/9ka5bgHnHyg?t=2662
This kind of music I really really love. and have a passion to do that as a hobby.
- If you think its possible or not, what is the best beginner equipment to buy in order to create such resampled music?
I have seen a few recommendations about this one: apc-40-mkii (http://www.akaipro.com/products/pad-...rs/apc-40-mkii)
My budget is 300USD.
- Does these kinds of equipment has the ability to isolate vocals from a song?
Thanks

1. I takes years to learn and do something in that style. Yes you can learn from scratch like everyone else did...
2. There is no such thing as the best beginner equipment that comes with a pre-package solution for electro jazz production. It's something you learn to do
3. No, you cannot isolate elements from a finished song.

@Manu, Thanks.
but still, if I don't want to buy equipment that is not suitable for what I want to create, how can one search for such equipment? can you recommend something as an entry point for my research?
Thanks

You'll need a computer that has sufficient processing power and RAM. Eventually a sound card, monitors (speakers), music keyboard and some music software. A 300$ is a bit light if you don't have a computer to begin with.
There is a list of software in the link from my previous post. Not listed is Fruity loops, and a (limited) trial is available to do some tryouts. I would recommend looking around and trying some demos before purchasing anything. Software like Cubase, Pro Tools and Logic Pro will be out of your reach regarding knowledge to get started.

look into the old Akai MPC. It's a really good sampler & sequencer
you can't take vocals out clean from a finished track, but many artists have recorded acapella.
