It's been almost 6 months since I asked, so I'll ask again to see.

Is anyone using Phase DJ devices? What do you think? Are they NOW ready for prime time? What's been your experiences?

Have u seen how they will be used as an HID with serato? In this way, you dont even have to hook up your rcas! You just connect the phase receiver to your laptop, set the remotes on your platters and you're good to go! I think that alone makes it worth it! No rca hassle anymore!

With external soundcard you still must connect half the rca's, afais.

    ^^^

So what happens if you run out of battery (no mention of autonomy time), or if there is interference.

On the plus side, no more wires.

I think when the battery runs out, the control stops - but the music shouldn't. You should be able to switch batteries and pick right up.

Ah, you can change the battery, good thing. That also solve the problem of if/when the battery dies.

Over here, that would make it double the price of a serato kit. Just to swap devices instead of batteries. Not cost effective.

    ?

If it is, it shows nothing about what I've said. It's a scenario with internal soundcard. With external soundcard you'd basically replace just the 2 rca cables that go from the Phase to the soundcard with a single usb cord, but from the soundcard to the mixer you still need a pair of rca's. Correct me if I'm wrong.
