    MC6000MK2 Latency Issues

Just bought this unit brand new yesterday and wow am I having issues using Denon's provided drivers on CD. Also using Pro version VDJ 8. I tried the WASAPI drivers but then my headphone cue does not work then unless I put the Pan setting all the way over to Master. Wish it would work with WASAPI. I have a wedding today and I'm freaking out right now. I spent 7 hours after work yesterday trying to make this controller work I have also read just about every article on this issue but they are all old. Can someone help me?

    Thread moved to digital tools.

I would fall back on your previous setup for that gig, if the issue remains unsolved.

    1. go to the official DENON website, update firmware and download latest drivers

or 2. Get rid of the crappy wasapi drivers working in two layers, resulting in more lag, and replace that with ASIO drivers.

2 bis. double check your computer for speed issues. http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common...%20Issues.html

    including this bit:

Otherwise, if you are not using ASIO, check that CONFIG -> Performances -> Latency is set to Auto and try enabling or disabling Safe Mode.

List of drivers available for every device here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common...e_Drivers.html

^^^^ What @Manu said. I use that same controller. I use the ASIO drivers downloaded from Denon’s site. I used VDJ 8 for a short time until I got Traktor working correctly, but VDJ 8 worked perfectly right out of the box with the right ASIO drivers installed. Good luck... the Denon MC6000MK2 is a great controller.

ASIO has the least latency in Windows.

You didn't describe your computer and if there are any other software or hardware peripherals.

Network and video drivers also tend to affect latency with ASIO drivers.

Of course not having a recent (<24 months) CPU and chipset would be the biggest reason for latency.

Shipping out tomorrow. Done with it. Bought the Pioneer DDJ-1000. More money more reliability. Thanks to all that helped.
