    A used pair of Technics cost as much as most new turntables.
    So a good used turntable (Numark TTX, Stanton STR-150, Audio Technica 1240, Denon VL12, etc.) is going to be cheaper than a used Technics.

    The only real advantage to paying more to get a used Technic is if you're using it to play actual vinyl records as it is not just a DJ turntable, but also a Hi-Fi turntable.
    If you're just going to use it with a DVS you're just paying extra for the Technics label.
